Ich sehe, dass du denkst
I see that you’re thinking
Ich denke, dass du fühlst
I think that you’re feeling
Ich fühle, dass du willst
I feel that you’re wanting
Aber ich hör' dich nicht, ich...
But, I don't hear you. I
... hab' mir ein Wörterbuch geliehen,
Have borrowed a dictionary
Dir A bis Z ins Ohr geschrien.
shouted A through Z in your ear
Ich stapel' tausend wirre Worte auf,
I pile a thousand confused words
Die dich am Ärmel ziehen.
To tug at your sleeves
Und wo du hingehen willst,
And wherever you want to go
Ich häng' an deinen Beinen.
I’m hanging onto your legs
If you must fall on your mouth
Warum dann nicht auf meinen?
Then why not on mine?
Oh bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte, gib mir nur ein Wort
Please, please give me just one word
Es ist verrückt, wie schön du schweigst,
It's crazy how beautifully you keep quiet
Wie du dein hübsches Köpfchen neigst,
How you tilt your pretty little head
And thus give the whole noisy world and me
Die kalte Schulter zeigst.
The cold shoulder
Dein Schweigen ist dein Zelt,
Your silence is your tent
Du stellst es mitten in die Welt,
You pitch it in the middle of the world
Spannst die Schnüre und staunst stumm,
You tighten the ropes and are struck
wenn nachts ein Mädchen drüberfällt.
Speechless if
A girl falls over it in the night
Zu deinen Füßen red' ich mich
At your feet I talk myself
Um Kopf und Kragen.
into danger
Ich will in deine tiefen Wasser
I am longing in your deep waters,
Große Wellen schlagen.
to make big waves
Oh bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte gib mir nur ein Wort
Please, please give me just one word
In meinem Blut werfen
In my blood
Die Endorphine Blasen,
The endorphins blow bubbles
Wenn hinter deinen stillen Hasen-
If behind your silent
Augen die Gedanken rasen.
Bunny-eyes thoughts are racing
Oh bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein Oh
Bitte gib mir nur ein
Bitte, bitte gib mir nur ein Wort
Please, please give me just one word
Ich sehe, dass du denkst
Ich denke, dass du fühlst
Ich fühle, dass du willst
Aber ich hör' dich nicht,
Ich hör' dich nicht...
etc.

Valen (Fallen)
Come death, dear death;
Kom død, kjære død;
give me a solution to all puzzles;
gi meg løsning på alle gåter;
give me a key and a magic wand,
gi meg nøkkel og tryllestav,
tie up the world's knots.
knyt opp verdens knuter.
Why in death, my friend, and there alone?
Why in the river of oblivion you plunge?
Hvorfor i glemselens elv du stuper?
Why in the dark, my friend, and there alone,
are you looking for the friendly warmth of light?
søker du lysets vennlige varme?
Let me open the closed room,
La meg åpne det lukkede rom,
let me shake the hidden runes,
la meg riste de skjulte runer,
let me throw my spear,
la meg kaste mitt spyd,
in the middle of the troll's cold heart.
midt i trollets kalde hjerte.
Why in death, my friend, and there alone?
Why in the river of oblivion you plunge?

Death was here first.
Døden var her først.
The forgetfulness finally prevails.
Glemselen seirer til slutt.
The dark gave birth to the light.
Mørket fødte lyset.
What more do you want to know?
Hva mer vil du vite?
Death, dear death! Death, my death!
Død, kjære død! Død, min død!
Forgetfulness has taken me.
Glemselen har tatt meg.
The darkness has subsided forever.

Vanvidd (Madness)
A terrified creature in the shadows,
En forskremt skikkelse i skyggen,
tattered and poor, but beautiful and rich,
fillete og fattig, men vakker og rik,
frightened and twisted, but no miserable wretch;
fælen og forvridd, men ingen stakkar:
she hides as best she can.
hun gjemmer seg så godt hun kan.
Hated by most,
Hun er forhatt av de fleste,
but loved by the best.
men elsket av de aller beste.
She gladly travels long (time) and long (distance),
Reiser gjerne langt og lenge,
she walks alone, barefooted in the dirt,
hun går alene, barbeint i skiten,
on unused ways, on overgrown paths,
på ubrukte veier, gjengrodde stier,
in animal tracks and dangerous lairs.
i dyretrakk og farlige leier.
Upwards, towards the edge of the sky
Oppover, til himmelens rand
carrying buckets full of madness.
i lasten; galskap i bøtter og spann.
The sky cracks when she arrives;
Himmelen revner når hun når opp:
the flock of sheep ends its hymn.
hymnen tar slutt for saueflokk.
Light hair, cunning smiles,
Lyse lokker, lure smil,
a blue gaze behind her shawl,
blåe blikk, bak sjalet
skin white as milk, teeth white as chalk.
melkehvit hud, kritthvite tenner.
Her laughter scares most of us.
Latteren skremmer de fleste.

Enhver Til Sitt (Each Man to His Own)
I follow my horse, into the forest.
Jeg følger etter hesten, inn i skogen.
Bleeding; wet from my own blood.
Blødende; våt nedentil av eget blod.
The feet feels heavier and heavier;
Føttene føles stadig tyngre;
a beating pain in the thigh.
en bankende smerte i låret.
The pants feel like plaster
Buksene har blitt som gips
around my legs, where the blood has dried.
rundt beina der blodet har størknet.
I fall, but get up again.
Jeg faller, men reiser meg igjen.
Staggering, limping, stumbling, falling.
Sjanglende, haltende, stumpende, fallende.
My hunt ends, in the wet moss
by the the lonesome bank of the moon lake.
ved månetjernets ensomme bredd.
The lonesome bank of the moon lake.
Månetjernets ensomme bredd.
The lonesome bank of the moon lake.
Månetjernets ensomme bredd.
Why must I test my destiny again and again?
Why must I forget the pain when the wound heals?
Why must I get used to a ruined body?
Why must I forget where I fell the last time?
Why must I forget? Why must I forget?
Hvorfor må jeg glemme? Hvorfor må jeg glemme?
Why must I feel the old pain again (and again and again...)?
One time, this time, I cannot get up again.
I remain there, in the wet moss, alone and dying.
I cannot get up, and I don't want to either.
The moon is reflected in the surface of the lake and she blinks at me.
The moon blinks at me.
Månen blinker til meg.
The moon blinks at me.
Månen blinker til meg.
The light intensifies.
Lyset blir sterkere.
The moon goddess comes to me.
Månegudinnen kommer til meg.
I am not cold anymore.
Jeg fryser ikke mer.
I am warmed by the moonlight.
Jeg varmes av månelyset.

A Whimper - Selofan
we are the hollow men
we are the stuffed men
we are the hollow men
we are the stuffed men
between the idea
and the reality
falls the shadow
between the emotion

falls the shadow
between the desire

falls the shadow
between the essence

falls the shadow
shape without form

Budstikken (The Message)
La pilen vandre fra gud til gud,
Let the arrow travel from god to god,
i hele den hvide verden.
all over the wide world.
La pilen sendes fra hus til hus,
Let the arrow be sent from house to house,
til hele vår åsaslekt.
to our entire spirit kin.
Til hvert eneste barn av gudeætt.
To every child of divine kin.
Til hver eneste åsamann.
To every spirit man.
Økstid er her, og piltid.
Axetime is here, and arrowtime.
Spydtid er her, og sverdtid.
Speartime is here, and swordtime.
Finn brynjen frem, og hjelm.
Pick up your mail, and helmet.
Finn skjoldet frem, og sax.
Pick up your shield, and sax (sword).
Fortidens guder reiser seg,
The gods of the past rise,
fra gudeblodets evige minne.
from the memory of the divine blood.
Ubesudlet. Uforgiftet.
Undefiled. Unpolluted.
Åsgards røde gull. De er ennu her!
The red gold of the spirit garden. They are still here!
Hør Gjallarhornet kalle,
Hear the horn of sound calling,
til hver eneste åsamann.
to every spirit man.
Hør vinden stille suse;
Hear the wind howling;
ånder fra fortidens land.
spirits from the land of the past.
Gode ånder fra sinnets dyp,
Good spirits from the deep of the mind,
som ørkenguden aldri nådde,
never reached by the desert god,
fra forfedrelandets gamle kilde,
from the old source of the forefatherland,
fra den gamle Urdarbrønnen.
from the old well of esteem.
Valkyrjer vene. Fremmad for tjod og forfedreland.
Beautiful choosers of the fallen. Forwards for king and forefatherland.
Einherjer ekte. Samles til strid i åsaland.
True lone warriors. Gather to fight in the spirit land.
Hirden heil. Fremmad for vårt blod og all vår jord.
The entire king's guard. Forwards for our blood and all our soil.
Fylking fremmad! Fylking marsj!
Army forwards! Army march!

Du scrollst
Wo bist du jetzt?
Where are you now?
Wo bist du gerade?
Where are you now?
Here with us or on the network for psychopaths?
On the dance floor some are really crazy
Wenigstens müssen wir nicht alles festhalten
But at least we do not have to hold on to everything
einige - some
wenigstens - at least
festhalten - hold, hold on
Wenn du auf der Party bist
When you're at the party
and you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing

And you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing
Und überlegst wie du dich inszenieren kannst
And you think about how you can stage yourself
wippen - rock, nod your head
tippen - type

eigentlich - actually
überlegen - think
inszenieren - stage
Wo bist du jetzt?

Wo bist du gerade?
Where are you now?
Here in the cave or in the space out there?
Do you actually feel the mood we have?
Say no to everyone and everything
draussen - outside
spüren - feel
die Stimmung - the mood
sagen - say
doch mal - but
And you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing
and you're scrolling and you think you're reading but you're actuall just scrolling
And you write somebody and you do not even realize

and you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing
and you're scrolling and you think you're reading but you're actually just scrolling
And you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing
Und überlegst wie du dich inszenieren kannst
And you think about how you can stage yourself
wippen - rock, nod your head
tippen - type
lesen - read
eigentlich - actually
überlegen - think
inszenieren - stage
Wo bist du jetzt?
Where are you now?
Wo bist du gerade?
Where are you now?
Here in the cave or in the space out there?
Do you actually feel the mood we have?
Say no to everyone and everything
draussen - outside
spüren - feel
die Stimmung - the mood
sagen - say
doch mal - but
And you're nodding your head and you're typing and you think you're dancing
and you're scrolling and you think you're reading but you're actuall just scrolling
And you write somebody and you do not even realize
Dass dieser Mensch gerade neben dir tanzt
that this human is dancing right next to you
merken - realize
neben - next to
